The details of creation and the intricate beauty of nature and light always inspire me. There is a moment when everything visually and spiritually seem in perfect harmony.

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, prophetic artist Kimberly Schweitzer spent many of the cold and rainy hours of her youth watching her mother paint in their home studio. She was delighted and entranced by watching her mother work, and it didn’t take long for Kimberly to start painting her own works of art.

She sold her first painting when she was only 18 years old.

After high school she started her own window painting company, decorating store windows for the holidays. Her success there led her to painting larger interior murals for homeowners, businesses and churches. The work was difficult, but it kept her doing what she loved.

During this time, life brought Kimberly a husband and a family. She continued taking art classes while her children were young, but their lives took a sudden and painful turn when her husband, Bradlee, was diagnosed with melanoma.

It was Brad’s early encouragement that had pushed her to continue pursuing her art. He was her biggest fan. Kimberly took care of him for 2 1/2 years. Her children were 3, 5 & 7 when he passed.

Now she thanks God for his encouragement in the beginning. She believes it was that seed that has continued to grow into what is now her Paint4Worship studio today.

Creative expression is my deep non-guilty obsession. An old piece of furniture, a piece of wood, rocks; I see blank canvases everywhere. My mind is always thinking about how I can transform the simplest things into works of art. It is because of that adventuring creative spirit that you will see a range of styles and substrates I use to create.

When I discovered alcohol ink, I fell in love. Alcohol ink is so unruly and unpredictable, it’s liberating. The ink demands the artist let go and allow the life of the piece to become organically. It is peaceful.

It is an amazing feeling, sharing my passion. My hope is you enjoy my work as much as I love creating it.
